Inspired by Gallup’s 12 questions measuring employee engagement, this focus has become the cornerstone of my 40+ year career in Human Resources.  Engagement and its’ essential partner – outstanding leadership – drives my passion for coaching leaders toward excellence in each organization I serve.

My belief in the importance of enlightened leadership served as my True North for HR leadership roles at organizations such as Volkswagen of America, Behr Climate Control (now Mahle), Magna Powertrain, and Las Vegas’ Stratosphere Hotel Casino Resort.

To become a respected and trusted colleague, advisor and HR leader to organizations seeking to transform their business, I primarily leverage leaders and their teams. My approach to building leadership capability focuses on individual self-discovery and team building. I believe that the key to building leadership talent lies in helping leaders understand how their behavior impacts others–both consciously and unconsciously. I know that it is critical to reinforce leadership training through consistent, ongoing measurement of employee engagement.

I have a record of success in diverse organizations and industries. Early in my career, I spent 15 months working in Germany, and developed an enthusiastic interest in international contact which led to more than sixty business trips to Europe and Mexico. In addition, my tenure at The Stratosphere included responsibility for team members from all over the world. German is my second language.

My core style is to build trust and help guide leaders on a journey of self-discovery and seeking feedback. This leads to a powerful understanding of a leader’s impact on employees, colleagues, and the organization. My most valued feedback is “you are a trusted and valued colleague”.
